Beth Kizhnerman -Executive Chef Born in Rockville Centre, New York, Beth is a Graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina and The New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont. She completed internships with Season’s at The Bostonian Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts under Lydia Shire and Gordon Hammersley and at L’Auberge Bretonne, La Roche Bernard, Brittany, France. Bistro Sofia began as a French style Bistro but after 9 1/2 years has become more of an American style Bistro. The food takes on flavors from around the world. Shall I dare say the words "globally influenced"- yes, I will. When possible, we purchase local ingredients to incorporate onto our menus. We also have the benefit of an urban garden right outside our ktichen door-fresh it is!!! The experience you will have at Bistro Sofia is one of casual and comfortable elegance. The food is delightful and delicious, the wine list is wonderful and the ambiance is unattainable anywhere else in the triad. |
